MEag: Nostalgia

  
Nostalgia: a wistful or excessively sentimental yearning for return to or of some past period or irrecoverable condition.

One of our favorite pastimes was walking up and down the aisles of the local Salvation Army, Goodwill and any thrift store we could find. She had an eye for style; timeless, classic pieces and a way of dressing that couldn't go unnoticed. She appreciated the fine lines and cut of a garment, the details, the feel of a fabric.  She had a passion for fashion and it wasn't until recently that I've embraced that same passion in ME. Not a second goes by without her on my mind. 


This dress is one of her "vintage finds", I came across it while going through her things and fell in love.  I was overwhelmed with the same excitement I'm sure she had when she found it. I put it on today and felt her all over me.


Nostalgia's Attic is an idea birthed way before iaME.  It was my concept for a Vintage boutique.  Handpicked items that are nothing short of edgy.funky.timeless. Mom is my Nostalgia, moments that I will never get back but will forever long for and Cherish.  Nostalgia's Attic will launch as an online store on Monday February 21st, 2011!
